WebJun 7, 2024 · Solved. Microsoft Office 365 Microsoft Exchange PowerShell. We implemented a retention policy that ended up removed all mail older than 6 years. We did not mean for that. So items 6 years old or more that where in the online archive folder were removed. They are in a recovery mode so they can be restored via outlook. WebI'm using Exchange 365. I want to restore deleted items. I select a user mailbox, and this brings up the mailbox menu. Under 'More actions' the item 'Recover deleted items' is greyed out. The message I get when I hover over it is that I don't have permission. I am a Global admin, and I've also had an Exchange Admin verify they get the same thing.
