Once in-game head to the Options menu in Settings > Gameplay > Gamepad > Enable Gamepad Open Steam Input again, set to Gamepad but edit the right trackpad to be a mouse with a left mouse click. That isn't to say that it is not a great machine or thaf if it does well future versions might have one but currently I believe that this is what will keep eso from running on the steam deck.
