Did you know?
WebThe stormwater treatment train removes contaminants in a sequence of complementary systems. A treatment train approach enables the capture of a range of predicted contaminants by directing stormwater runoff through a complementary sequence of stormwater management responses (refer Figure 37). A useful concept used in the development of sustainable drainage systems is the SuDS management train (sometimes referred to as the treatment train), illustrated below. Just as in a natural catchment, drainage techniques can be used in series to change the flow and quality characteristics of the runoff in stages.
WebThe UDC Bertie Backus Campus green infrastructure treatment train project is an innovative parking lot retrofit nestled into the urban fabric of the rapidly transforming Fort Totten Metro Station neighborhood in NE Washington DC.
